Kaitlyn Battistelli, senior colorist & partner at Ethos Studio

KAITLYN BATTISTELLI

Kaitlyn Battistelli is a senior colorist and partner at Ethos Studio in Los Angeles. She is known for her fun and vibrantly hued films across a diverse range of platforms. Beginning her career at Electric Theater Collective, where she learned the craft of color grading, she quickly developed a unique style and trusted client base. This became the foundation of Ethos Studio, which she opened along with partner and founder James Drew in 2019, and helped mold into the thriving boutique color house it is today.

Since then, Kaitlyn’s work has garnered numerous awards and widespread attention. She was named a Shots Rising Star in 2018, and claimed the Commercial Gold win at AICP in 2022 for New Balance x Casablanca. This past year she won a Bronze Ciclope for the coloring on the music video “Rainbow” by Jesse Rutherford. You can see her grade for the feature film “Dìdi,” which won the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival before being picked up by Focus Features, in theaters this summer.

Her other notable projects include Moses Sumney’s “Vintage,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Obsessed,” and Nadia Lee Cohen’s Dsquared campaign. Commercially, she has become the trusted colorist for many brands including Google, KFC, Converse, Versace, Ford, Maserati, and Gucci.
