MARINA STARKE
Marina Starke is a Berlin-based colorist whose nuanced work spans international feature films, episodic series, commercials, and music videos. A five-time FilmLight Colour Awards nominee and the 2023 Music Video winner, her work is recognized at Camerimage, Tribeca, and Berlinale. Notable projects include the Emmy-winning “The Empress” and “Zeit Verbrechen: Deine Brüder,” winner of the 2024 German Cinematography Award.
Marina has crafted commercials for global brands like Mercedes, Nike, Sony, and Coach, earning AICP’s Best Color Grading in Music Video in 2023. Self-taught in analog photography and Photoshop from the age of 14, her passion for film and color continued through media engineering studies and published research into the visual appearance of skin in motion pictures. With her intuitive artistic approach and keen eye for detail, she enjoys finessing every frame and finding its unique qualities.
Based in Berlin, she works from her own grading suite while collaborating with leading post-production facilities on feature projects for Apple TV+, Netflix, and others.
